Cooby Dam - Cooby has fished reasonably well this past week, the afternoon bite has by far been the best, the lure fishing is heating up with lots of fish being caught on blades, the new TT Switchpraw and old faithful Zx blade proves to be the best option. Along with smaller soft vibes like the zerek fish trap and Nomad Vertex as well. Anglers trolling have also had better success, the northern arm in and in front of the sailing club has been successful. Working deeper hardbodies like the Halco Poltergeist, Halco TB55 and Little Ripper lures. Plenty of shrimp have been caught yet again if you're willing to set your traps. Both Saltwater Yabbies and Live worms are working well as always.
Cressbrook Dam - The edge bite has still been on even with the hotter temps, plenty of both Bass and Yellow Belly have been caught on Lipless Crankbaits and Chatterbaits. The deeper points in the main basin are holding good numbers of Yellow Belly, Jigging blades have been the best option.
Somerset Dam - Good report again this past week with plenty of fish schooled up in numerous spots, Pelican Point, Bay 13 and Queen Street being popular, The Hot Bite Spectre proving yet again in the hotter months keeping these baits tight to the bottom is key. The Northern end of the lake above Kirkleigh is holding big numbers of Saratoga if you're willing to put the time into finding them.
Leslie Dam - Our best lake by far all year long and it continues, plenty of quality Yellow Belly being on the bite around the lake, the deeper water water around the dam wall and edges of the creek bed has been consistent, again Jigging blades and Soft vibes getting the results. Salter water Yabbies and worms proving their the best bait for the lake.
Moogerah Dam - Still plenty of Quality bass around Considering the boat traffic. Fishing plastics amongst the Flats inside the timber has been popular. The spit is also holding good numbers of fish if there before all the boats, casting soft vibes and heavies spoons has been the lures of choice.
Monduran Dam - Monduran has been fishing awesome the past few weeks. There has been lots of fish moving down to the main basin the past week. The most popular ways of catching them are slow rolling plastics such as the Castaic jerky js 7" and molix 140's along the points and the buoyline. Trolling has seen a lot of good fish being caught as well on Jackall 115 squirrells and Barra Classic's. There's Still plenty of fish amongst the shallower water points in Bird Bay and Parts of B, Molix 140, Zerek Live Mullet and The Thready Buster Swimbait have been popular.
