Fishing Our Region

CoobyCooby has fished a lot better this past week compared to the last few weeks back. The fish have been holding a little deeper after the recent rain and hotter days. Zx40, TT Switchprawn and Hot Bite spectre have been popular as well as soft vibes and Lipless crank baits. Plenty of fish holding up the normal arm just off the edges of the creek bed around the 25ft mark. Saltwater Yabbies and live worms being popular for the bait fisherman.

Cressbrook
- Much better results this week, with some better fish caught and better quantities. The Bull Creek arm is holding some good school up past the rock wall, blades, tail spinners and spectres being the lures of choice. Plenty of Yellow belly being on the bite yet again c trolling the deeper edges has been most successful.

Leslie
- Another good week on Leslie. Plenty of fish being caught, after the rain plenty of action happing up around the mouth of sandy creek. Blades and soft vibes being the standout, working your lure around isolated structure of the edges of the creek beds is key. Again Saltwater yabbies being dominant on these fish. A lot of smaller cod have been caught on the troll around the dam wall area. Working deep diving hardbodies and spinnerbaits has worked best.

Somerset -
Plenty of fish around at the moment just getting them to bite has been tricky at times. The water has dirtied up making the fishing a little harder.
Keeping your baits close to the bottom is key. Good numbers of fish are holding all around pelican point and red rock.

Coolmunda
- Starting to become quite consistent, the Cod have been on the bite amongst the timber and out from the Dam wall on the edges of the creek bed. Targeting structure is key on this lake, working spinnerbaits and Vibes have been effective. For the bait anglers saltwater yabbies and live worms working well.

Monduran
- Finally hearing some much better results. The top end of the lake or the back bays has been popular for anglers. With a good water rise these fish have moved quite shallow and being caught tight  to the weeded banks. Top water baits have been popular, frogs and walk the dog stick baits have gotten their fair share of attention. This topwater bite has stuck around all day depending on the conditions. Still good numbers of fish holding around the basin, being caught on the ever popular baits like Zerek live mullet and Molix 140.
