Product Of The Week - Evergreen ES Drive

The ES Drive is finally back and with a bang with some great colours

New generation lipless jointed bait ESDRIVE swims in a "S" below the surface. The lifelike action without wobbling calls number of fish. It's a super natural swim bait.

The ES Drive is such a versatile bait being able to fish this in the river for Murray cod in those shallow rivers or fishing above the weed in our Barra impoundment which this lure is very well known for.

    Fishing Our Region

CoobyAnother good with on our local lake, the fish have dropped down to the depths and sitting very hard on the bottom. The bait fisherman have been taking advantage of this with some very successful reports with great numbers of fish being caught, saltwater Yabbies proving the best bait yet again. ZX blades and soft vibes like the Zerek fish traps have also been another popular choice. Both the Northern arm and out from the bouy line has been popular for anglers

CressbrookSimilar reports to last week, with good numbers of Yellow belly being on the bite and some smaller bass, the larger bass have been hard to find.
Vertically fishing Zx blades and other metal blades has been the standout Technique. While the Bait anglers have had good success with saltwater Yabbies and Live Worms.

LeslieIt’s been non stop catching at Leslie the last few weeks and it continues even with the hotter temps. Good numbers of smaller cod have also been caught this week with a lot of anglers catching them while targeting Yellow Belly. Again hard to go past the old faithful Zx blades and soft vibes for this lake. Good reports of trolling Hardbodies has also been very effective, working the edges of the creek bed’s or points amongst the main basin has been popular, lures like the 18+ Little Ripper or Cooby Cobba Mighty Mite had also picked up some great fish.

PindariIt’s been a very long time since this lake has even come close to making the report but with a few locals having some good action down there it’s definitely worth thinking about. Targeting standing timber close in on the banks was the go too, Jigging blades or vertically working Gulp Minnow grubs up the trees was another popular technique.

MonduranSmall fish are on the bite and beating the larger fish to the lures especially during the daylight hours.  These fish are holding tight to the weed and the edge, working weedless plastics over the top of the weed is your best option, the few anglers have also had good success fishing topwater also, from weightless frogs or stickbaits walked across the top it’s always an exciting way of fishing. For the larger fish the late night bite has been best. Working main lake points down Bird and B Bay with large plastics like the Molix 140 and Zerek Live mullet has been the standout.
