Cooby - Good reports this week and some much better weather letting anglers hit the water, the bank fisherman have had plenty of success with a lot of big Jew fish being caught, live worms always the go too bait for these, good quality yellow belly also being caught amongst them. Other anglers working outside the weed edges in front of the sail club have had plenty of good sessions, vertically jigging blades while drifting has been popular, this time of year you really have to be on the move to find those active fish. Saratoga are also becoming a frequent catch at Somerset, good numbers of these fish have been located amongst the timber and also the smaller bays in the basin, either jerkbaits or lipless crankbaits have been effective.

Moogerah - The Winter bite at Moogerah is back, good schools of fish are starting to show up in the common areas, Larger predominant points in the basin and inside the timber is holding very good numbers. Plastics like the ever faithful Slider grub are hard to go past for this lake.
