Product of The Week - Legit Design Standout Rods
Legit Design Standout Rods

To stand out. A state in which an object, person, or event stands out from its surroundings. As the saying goes, “The nail that sticks out gets hammered down,” which is sometimes spoken of with a negative image in Japanese society. However, in the world of hobbies such as fishing and bass fishing, there is value in finding your own style and way of enjoying yourself. Rather, the stake should stick out more and more. Available in both Spin and Baitcast.

Fishing Our Region

Cooby - Another consistent week on our loyal lake, some good sized Yellas have been on the Bite, with the cold weather hanging around these fish have not been as active but they are more than willing to eat a bait, the Bait fisherman proving to have the most success, live shrimps and saltwater yabbies being the best option, for other anglers Zx blades have again proved their the best lure by far, out in front of the sailing club and the northern arm has seen plenty of action, whilst out in the deeper water towards the rock wall has also been successful..

Cressbrook - It's been a tough few weeks on Cressbrook and it continues this week with the fishing shutting down hard and holding tight to the bottom, the best method has been trolling the main basin trying to find those active fish, concentrating on the larger points and the edges of the creek bed will be your best bet. The Yellow Belly have been a little easier to catch, Jigging blades in these same areas have had some success, The Cressbrook Creek arm has had the better numbers.

Somerset - A normal somerset this week with some days being very productive and other days struggling to even find a fish, Pelican point is holding plenty of fish just not the quality that was there last month, the northern reaches like the Kirkleigh flats has had better results, spoons, plastics and ice jigs being the lures of choice.

Leslie - This lake just proves again its the best Yellow Belly lake around with massive numbers of fish still being caught, being winter time the larger fish have become quite active. Again its hard to go past the old faithful Zx blade, Soft vibes have also been quite effective either casting these lures or vertical jigging the deeper water on the edges of the creek bed has been successful.

Moogerah - By far the pick of our Lakes at the present time, big fish are starting to chew and school up amongst the timbered flats and also off the Spit. Soft plastics like the 3inch slider grub is hard to go past, spoons and metal blades have also been productive.

Glenlyon - The Winter Bite is On, Good fish are moving shallow feeding up before spawning season. Targeting the shallow edges with swimbaits and large Topwaters is where it's at, the upper reaches of the lake has been popular with a lot of anglers. In regard to Yellow Belly they have been in good numbers also, Standing timber on the larger points has been effective with blades, soft vibes and Gulp Minnow Grubs.
