Product Of The Week - Daiwa Steez Soft Shell 90
Back in stock for the second time after its recent release, this bait is going to be special and already people are kicking some serious goals with it.
The STEEZ Soft Shell is a uniquely designed soft vibration bait developed in Australia to offer a never before seen take on the soft vibration segment.
Designed with two crawfish like appendages to add a unique action as the lure sinks to the bottom, the Soft Shell will rest with the claws up thanks to the standup design of the head and the buoyant nature of the material.
Designed to be fished close to the bottom with either a hopping or shaking retrieve, the Soft Shell excels targeting our freshwater predator species such as Yellowbelly, Barra, Australian Bass and more. In saltwater, it draws strikes from prawn feeding species such as Flathead, Mulloway and Snapper.
The STEEZ Soft Shell can be rigged numerous ways and comes standard with both stinger hooks and BKK Fang treble hooks in the pack.

Fishing Our Region
Cooby Dam - It’s been another successful week on our local lake, plenty of Yellow Belly and smaller cod have been on the bite. The deeper bite has been the most consistent, Jigging Zx blades, soft Vibes like the Zerek Fish trap and the New Daiwa Steez Soft Shell 90 has also had some great results. Both Saltwater Yabbies and worms have working well for the other anglers. If your heading out on foot working the deeper edges towards the rock wall.
Cressbrook - Some very challenging fishing over the past few months but week by week there’s more results coming in. The Yellow Belly have been in good numbers, Jigging blades around Deer island and the Cressbrook Creek arm has been popular. The Bass are quite spread out throughout the lake with some anglers catching the better fish off the edges on Tn60’s and Suspending Jerkbaits. For the schooled fish targeting the larger point casting Metal blades has been effective.
Somerset - It’s been another challenging week on our big Bass fishery. The southern end of pelican point is holding big numbers of fish just getting them to bite hasn’ been the easiest some days. The standout lure again has been the Hit Bite spectre with the darker colours proving the most dominant. Keeping this bait tight to the bottom is key as these fish are feasting on smaller red claw. Good fish have also been caught on the old faithful Slider grub’s and little max blades. Trolling anglers are starting to have the better success, the Smak Blitz Baga has been a popular choice.
Leslie - Mixed reports this week with the big temperature rise. The majority of fish have been caught amongst the deeper water off the edge of the creek bed. If there’s one lure to take with you to Leslie it’s the ever faithful ZX Blades. For the Bait anglers both worms and saltwater yabbies have worked well.
Lake Monduran - With another big recent inflow the fishing hasn’t been the easiest. As the water is reaching it’s peak in temperature the fish are Moving more and more. The main basin is holding good numbers of fish as well as Bird bay has been popular. For the deeper water bite the Molix 140 proves yet again, Further up the lake anglers have had success trolling the tree lines before B Bay, the old faithful Barra classic and the Jackall 115 super squirrel has been the consistent catchers.
